THE CULTURAL FUTURES LAB.
From Heritage Interpretation to Ecological Folklore, shaping Stories of Change and cultural futures together

01Â why cultural futures?
Re-imagining spaces & stories for regenerative futures
How we remember the past shapes the futures we imagine. Recollection is not passive, it is a re-collecting, a re-making, a gathering. Every act of interpretation reframes who we are, where we come from and what we value. Through audience-focused interpretation, community stortyelling and ecological folklore, we treat memory as a living, imaginative force—one capable of seeding more connected, regenerative futures
02 Future centred
A collaborative approach to cultural shifts
Cultural futurism drives social and cultural change by exploring new possibilities through a future-centred design process. By posing questions like "What if...?" and "How might we...?", we open doors to diverse forms of expression—from heritage design and speculative futures to ecological folklore and more-than-human storytelling. By amplifying marginalised voices in cultural narratives, we create a shared story of change, fostering a more equitable and inclusive future that enhances our collective resilience.
